Its time for our night jumps again. On October 24th 2009, we will jump all day and into the night. Those who need their jumps towards a license will be given priority. Remember you must have at least a B-License and be present for the briefing at 6:00 pm CST.
We will have food and movies during and after the jumps so come on out and plan to stay awhile.
Be sure to contact the dz or e-mail me @ tfftm@skydiveopelika.net if your planning on jumping so we can get your name on the list. We also will need experienced, current jumpers to assist .
Skydive Opelika will be hosting night jumps on Oct.18th this year. Auburn Tigers have the weekend off. Jumpers who need the night jumps for their license will have first dibs. A b-license is required.
The DZ will provide strobes, and helmets. 2 jumps are required for your license. 1 Solo exit and 1 formation.
Sunset is at 5:06 and jumping will end by 11:30. If you plan on jumping please be at the DZ NLT 3:30 for the briefing. If you miss the briefing you cannot jump!
Of course we will have food and entertainment throughout the day and after jumping operations have ceased.

The Drop Zone will be closed July 26th-27th and August 2nd-3rd. The group is going to Raeford.

The dates have been set and we are getting the names of those who will attend.
Buddy Blue (Alabama Gang #1) and Gene Paul Thacker (Alabama Gang #69) have set it up again this year. Those who attended last year were greeted with smiles, hellos and a nice PAC-750 with the occasional Otter load.
Facilities include an airconditioned team room and packing area, shower and facilities within 30 ft. A restaurant and bar within 60 yards and plenty of room for Rvs and tents.

Venture Outdoors first came to our dropzone June 10th, 2006. They filmed their local outdoor show and made 2 tandem skydives. They have told me time and time again that it is their most commented on show. They are returning again On June 14th 2008. To get another look and interview are participants and hang out with us. So come by and help show Don, Rick and Andi a good time.
